What is a good dog?

Recommended Posts

Im my opinion, a dog that is true to "type"! it should be fully capable of doing the tasks its breed was intended for and should show the full characteristics for its breed. it can eat, move and breath without discomfort can see and hear clearly and is resistant to disease. It shows no signs of nervousness, fear or aggresion. the dog should be able to produce healthy litters naturaly and should be expected to keep these qualities throught is natural lifespan.

chill mate, only said you was talking about my dog, seriously though,i agree with your original list, not much more to be said really

although it does come across as if you are referring to a pure breed dog and not a cross

much appreciated mate thanks for the input, im not reffering to pure breeds im refering to breeds in general.

im really not qualified to say about conformation etc.,but just from what i have read, and that's quite a bit lol,the question really is open to peoples pref,ok so we may all be able to see a badly put together dog,if its obvious, but working dog and show dog, well they are worlds apart really are they not,im not from the ,that dog looks good brigade,to me their ability to do their intended job is far more important, something iv heard that kennel club for example may want to adhere to,but as i say not qualified just throwing in my two pence worth
