Edgar 1 Posted May 31, 2010 Report Share Posted May 31, 2010 As stated what does everybody think of the cometa fenix 400, thinking of buying one as a 30 yard hunting rifle/ plinker. From what I have read elsewhere they are great for the money but benefit from a simple tune up/degreasing. Am having problems with my HW57 so who has used a cometa fenix 400? What are they like? Edgar 1 Posted June 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted June 3, 2010 Its just never been as accurate as I would have liked it to be, 1 and a quarter inch groups at 30 yards are the norm. I have tried everything to get better accuracy but to no avail. The rubber washer that keeps the loading gate in has to be replaced every so often and the loading gate itself can get bits of twig ect stuck in it when out and about meaning the gate won't close properly, its fidly to clean out too. In short I want a medium weight break barrel to keep things simple. Was thinking of HW99 similar price to fenix and my local RFD says its better. Think I will go with HW99. Quote Link to post
