crap weekend........ lost charlie on saturday......3 dogs stay with the mrs.15yr russell,2 yr patt,9month whippet. all been getting on fine, the patt is very easy going with other dogs within the pack (inc the 3 that stay with me).noticed the whippet getting very full of him self the last couple of months so advised the mrs not to leave them together when out at work, which she took on board and split them during the day,but she went to friends house warming meal sat afternoon and left the 2 in the garden,on returning 3 hours later found charlie dead with throut wounds near the gate and zac the pat with bite wounds to the head and neck sitting in the far corner of the garden. chalie was a happy young chap but can't help but think that he was winding the patt up and probably struck first. very sad leason to learn.11jan10031.jpgfeb10041.jpgfeb10029.jpgmarismay10047-1.jpgmarismay10038-1.jpgmarismay10028-1.jpgmarismay10004.jpg

So sorry to hear that pal. :(

Sounds like the chap was at the age where a dog might start jockeying for it's pack position. Always a bit of concern between the age of 9 - 18 months when dogs live somewhere in numbers, IMO.
