Does double loading damage an Air-Rifle?

Hi,

 

I have an FAC Air Arm S410 Xtra, I was out shooting a few paper targets earlier, I must have accidentally loaded two pellets into it because when I fired at the paper target two pellets struck it at the same time a few inches below zero. Does double loading a rifle in this way cause any damage, the accuracy didnt seem to be affected.

I'm certainly no technition or gunsmith, but I can't see it doing too much damage as a one off occurance. I am open to correction on that though.

 

I wouldn't do it as a regular thing though.
