phantom pregnancy

Was expecting jill to have kits between wednesday nd friday (42 days since together) but nothings happened. Is there any tell tale signs of a phantom pregnancy. Starting to think this is whats happened, bit guttered to be honest, if it is when will she come back into heat and how long should i wait before trying again. also the hob i used is about 5-6 could he be too old or just unlucky?

have you had a look in the bedding box .... see if theres any spots of blood she could have had them & eaten them

Yes looked tonight and everything fine, shes still big and seems happy in herself, dont think shes had them, if there is any

When she is near the end of her term she should be sleeping a bit more than normal.

if she is not and dont have them tonight then i would think it has been a phantom preg, has she been ill prior too breeding or during pregnacy? this seems to be a common thing the last 2 yrs but mayb it just nature way of cutting down the number of ferrets being born.

she is sleeping more and taking longer to wake up when i go out and no she hasnt been ill.

feel her belly if you lucky you might be able to feel the kits if there any in her if you can id wait no longer than a week from due date before taken her to the vet.

well nothing happened again today so looking like a phantom. How long will it be til she comes back into heat and could it be the hob not producing the goods as he's about 6 year old? I would like to use the same hob but is it a lost cause?
