rio hogg how am i slagging the man off ive had first crosses who were good but not as clever on a hare as good saluk lurcher to saluk lurcher they didnt hedge a hare like a bitch i have hear ,or tied

any body running a 1st x sal/grey? if so put you pics up, really like this cross ov dog,cheers

not that many genuine f1 crosses about taff ..but they are plenty quick enough . talk to ..boyo :thumbs:

average at best. never can live with a lurcher to lurcher saluki breed coursing lurcher. not what iv seen or ever herd of anyway.

I heard the sister to beany owned by C.S wernt bad but i do agree though the first crosses are pacey enough for a bit of everything.thumbs.gif

will be able to tell you in the near future got a pup coming from boyo litter personally i think this cross is going to be the dogs Bxllxcks. Also unusual to get a GENUINE 1st cross see dogs advertised all the time "1st cross saluki greyhound" yet they have a rough coat, will keep you all informed of the pups progress

Same as any other cross mate you'll get good uns and bad uns.Only difference I find personly is that they dont tend to be average.if you get a good one it tends to be a bit special but if its not it tends to be easyer to chase your quarry yourself. I'm lucky enough to have what I consider to be a good one and wouldn't part with him for the world.he's very consistant day and night and goes about his buisness with very little fuss or hastle. They do tend to take a while to mature though mate and I have to wonder weather there has been a few dogs with potential to be tidy given up on early for this reason.

having had afew and saw several they are beter than most lurcher to lurcher pre ban caut deer hares foxes rabbs and the ones we had of tor of dartmoor cant fault them for gameness , very good dogs and through dogs at 27 28 bitches 25 26 plenty size for game in hand ,there maybe better hare dogs fens wise but i would say i had barrel of game with them ,

cheers for the replys all, great pic willow. im supriesd that thers not many that run them. fensaluki, have you got any pics ov yours mate, and thanks for the reply, i really do like this cross, seen a few run, and all wer worth the kennel space, 1 in paticular took my eye big time, she was a realun.
