Guest hairysausagefingers
My boys a bit too small to shoot, (nearly so we got a little albino jill last weekend. I want to get him into some sport and I have always wanted a ferret. She's settled in well and we worked her for the first time today. We blanked on the first two, but on the third small warren she bolted the biggest, fittest buck me and my mate have ever seen, straight into one of my home-made purse nets. Top- ferret! Took another buck off the adjecent warren and called it a day at that. We saw the farmer on way back and he's pointed out another two fields I didn't even know were his. We took a detour on the drive back and found that they are snide out with rabbits. Mostly hedgerow stuff but some nice open warrens too. Said I'd lamp it with the gun mid week as they are on his winter wheat. Top - farmer! I know what the lad, the ferret and I are doing next weekend! Quote Link to post

Not usually into this well done sort of stuff, but couldn,t resist this one, so here goes. Well done HSF, well done first time ferret... but most of all that boys face says it all, his face is a picture no-one could paint. And i speak as a father of three boys myself so i know how you feel. Bloody brilliant. Quote Link to post
