canis lupus 1
Great Price out of CH parents, I exspect twice as much. My only concern would be the dam's age as it could relect the health of the puppies. Out of interest have Sire and Dam had all the breed health tests. Quote Link to post

Out of interest have Sire and Dam had all the breed health tests. why would her age affect the health of the pups just wondering The age of the Bitch could cause problem just as any elderly animal or human. I was thinking along the lines if she is older it will oviously not be her first litter, I did hear somewhere the more litters a bitch had the less culsium is passed onto the pups. I personaly wouldn't buy froma breeder breeding a bitch this old as I think it unfair to breed such an old animal. Edited June 3, 2010 by canis lupus Quote Link to post
geordieh 74
Hi bugsbunny Have the pups been kc registered yet because i am sure once the dam has reached 8 yrs old the kennel club they will not register them Cheers Geordie Quote Link to post
rickyspringer 15
pups can be registered if the bitch has already had a litter aswell as a vet certifying that the bitch is in good condition to whelp a litter. Quote Link to post
lilvixen 26
pups can be registered if the bitch has already had a litter aswell as a vet certifying that the bitch is in good condition to whelp a litter. May I ask where you got this info? As it's news to me, I always thought the rule was 8 years old unless there was exceptional circumstances. Edited to add - Quote from Kennel Club website - 1) As per Regulation B3.25 22c (2) “The General Committee will not accept an application to register a litter when the dam has already reached the age of eight years at the date of whelping. Relief from the restriction set out in 22c (2) may be considered by the General Committee normally provided the application is made prior to the mating, and the proposed dam has previously whelped at least one other registered litter. Any such application must be accompanied by veterinary evidence as to the suitability of the bitch involved in the proposed whelping.” 4) A letter from the applicant’s veterinary surgeon must accompany the application stating that the bitch is in good health, and confirming the suitability of the bitch to produce puppies despite her age. The letter must be obtained at the point of when the bitch comes into season and this along with the application should be sent prior to the mating. So £250 for unregistered pups is nothing special unless buggsbunny has got all the above sorted to register them Edited June 4, 2010 by lilvixen Quote Link to post
