Just wodering if any of you lot breed canarys. Due to moving house my avairy had 2 be taking down and all my birds were caged up. My canary's were paired in a cage and the hen layed 4 eggs but the nest fell and eggs were broken. I was told to take the cock bird and place in sepreate cage near her. If i do this will my hen lay again once i introuduce the cock bird? thanks ferret_uk

If the pair are already together , leave them together , she will lay again.

canary's should be fine together, but some birds aren't. So if you need to separate a cock and hen whilst she's got chicks, place them in a double breeder and half it off with mesh.
