Squirrel_Basher 17,100
My own thought is that the rut this year will be sooner than the usual late July early August in the south. Im seeing bucks following does with necks outstretched now which is out of sinc a bit .Bucks patrolling were at it weeks ago when they wernt last year .The kid crop was definately early with us and ive even seen a pair of twins out of spot today . Yours predictions welcome . Quote Link to post
wireviz 8
The way the bucks are still in velvet here and the hard winter i think it will be late well in to august. We have bucks following does also but the rut to me is a long way off the call is in its usual place were i can never remember. Quote Link to post
john robbo 30
the call is in its usual place were i can never remember. if you find yours W.V. mine might be with it. I actually found mine day before yesterday "by chance" The rut is to weather dependant to predict i think. We had much chasing before but this was territorial and the does are quiet now and fawning. Harvest weather moon and humidity all play to much here. It will happen only it maybe earliy or it might be late but peaks around the end of july here and into early august.
