jamie1011 5
noticed most of these bed/whip/grey crosses are all short coated that people have posted. not many seem to have thrown the bedlington way on looks any how. Quote Link to post
david2363 42
Are a lot of 1st X Beddy Greys the sire the beddy and the grey the dam? I would say so i have never come across them the other way bred due to the size factor but have heard of a beddy dam put to a whippet sire.atb dell Seen a couple of litters reverse bred - Whippetx Beddy that is. A friends dog was bred that way - a real cracker. She's in J Glovers book, page 152, bottom pic. Quote Link to post
luke. 9
My mate runs a Beddy Whippet Greyhound bitch and she only stands between 19-20" & she is rough coated. As said before, she may be small but has the heart of a lion. Luke. Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
I think alot of the smooth haired one's will be the result when the f1x beddy is further crossed with whippet or grey/whippet i have never known a first cross be smooth coated.atb dell Quote Link to post
jamie1011 5
i havnt seen a genuine first cross which is smooth coated either, makes me chuckle when you see the ads in paper and so on claiming first x smooth coated lol. for all lads good with percentages and so on whats mine dam bed/grey x whip sire bull/whip/grey x 1st bed/whip. mines very rough coated like how a first cross would be like almost, cheers lads Quote Link to post

poacher3161 1,766
How can a bedlington x whippet x greyhound be a first cross. I ment a whippet/grey or grew put to a pure bedlington which would make it a first cross. Quote Link to post
jamie1011 5
How can a bedlington x whippet x greyhound be a first cross. simple its not was just commenting on poaching3161 comment about first x's. which started from me saying that most the bed/whip/greys posted were short coated and many didnt seem to follow the bedy look. hope that clears few things up for ya mate Quote Link to post
