BRAN 0
Well lads, need some advice from the hardcore lampers. only recently got a lightforce striker and battery pack, six months ago. I've been on before about this, I brought the lamp to a few places and to a mate who is a spark and he thinks that there is a break in the wiring which is causing the fuses to blow so quickly. You can imagine the madness this is causing, had to cancel at least three or four hunts midway plus the xxxxxxx thing cost me £140! What I need to know is how to customize the lamp so that this doesn't happen, and secondly the most efficient way to operate this lamp as the next thing which will blow is not a fuse but my brain Quote Link to post
Paid 935
Depends if you use the cigaret lighter part, I dont, so i just rewired the entire thing with one bit of wire straight from the battery to the lamp, no conections and no fuse. Havent had a problem since. Quote Link to post

Paid 935
yes mate, just make sure the conection just inside the lamp is strong either a bit of solder or a screw down electric conector, and bolt the other end onto the battery. Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,005
MATE THE HANDLES ARE NOT A SEALED UNIT. IF YOU PRESS THE TWO RED THINGS IETHER SIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HANDLE , THE END COMES OFF. . THEN PULL A LITTLE OF THE SPARE WIRING OUT, AND TIE A HALF HITCH IN IT . THEN STUFF THAT BACK IN SIDE THE HANDLE. THE KNOT WILL NOT PULL THROUGH THE HOLE SO TAKING THE PREASURE OF THE CONECTIONS. HOPE THIS MAKES SENCE TOMO Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
It sounds like a bad design fault, wonder why they haven't picked up on it? Quote Link to post

If you take the rubber cover off the switch, the switch will unscrew as well, allowing the wiring to be dropped out of the handle so you can re-wire the switch as well. Quote Link to post
