hi all, got a number of phesants on my permission which I have got the go a head to shoot, and wondred if anyone has any tips for doing so. thanks.

Hi, mate.

 

So long as they're in season, you can shoot them no probs. Just like a head shot on anything else, so long as you can put your shots in the kill zone at the ranges you shoot, crack on.

 

Many traditionalist's frown on takeing game birds with airguns but a well placed pellet will do the job just fine.

They're out of season at the minute, but if you want to eat one when they're not, then whack one in the head, and dont forget your camera

In Northern Ireland, it lasts from October 1st to January 31st.

Yes thats correct its to give them a chance to breed, thats why you dont shoot them.
