riohog 5,701
i dont see why a stud fee shouldnt be the same price as a pup from the litter / or a pup for use of the stud!! Quote Link to post
ciaranmcman 23
crazy prices if i dont want a pup its £100 Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
IMHO i think its too daft to laugh at these high prices fore studs for a couple of hours work tops then all these high stud prices most are just around dogs for the money any way. Quote Link to post
NOOK/ANNA 96
I think a pup from the litter is all that should be asked for.If the person who owns the stud dog has no need for a pup then i think there well with in there rights to ask for a price of a pup whatever that might be. supersam 64
i dont see why a stud fee shouldnt be the same price as a pup from the litter / or a pup for use of the stud!! i think that is spot on. a mate of mine studs his pointer and they go for 500-750 quid the pups so thats what he charges for the stud which i think is right. if your breeding we say a saluki and the pups are going to be sold for 500 quid then thats what the stud fee should be. same goes if your stud is a lurcher and pups are 100 quid then 100 quid for the stud. iv always thought it was a pup or price of a pup. poacher3161 1,766
It must be me thats daft then a saluki/grey i had years ago i would just say give us a tenner and a few thats asked about a springer stud £60 and £30 to non springers thats why i will never have feck all Quote Link to post

Stewy 1
I agree,Pup or the price of a pup. Also i would make sure that the bitch was good a good quality worker before i talked about servicing. Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
There shouldnt even be a stud fee in huntin dogs. If a fella likes your bitch, he might ask for a pup if he needs one. If he dont like your bitch then he shouldnt be lettin you breed to his dog anyhow. Quote Link to post
