No, I hadn't had any notification prior to this. I'm pleased that this is something you'd like to do. Besides having another knowledgeable expert/writer on the books, the way I see this is that it could probably help you sell more DVDs... and get paid for articles! We have a book club (and on-line newsagent system for people to order) and I suggest we run your DVDs in there, commission free. In return, I'd like to have extracts from your DVDs - or short movies - running on www.airgun.tv in order to populate this new venture that runs hand-in-hand with Airgun Shooter; they'd be complementing your articles.

 

I'm afraid paid rates aren't great in the airgun magazine publishing business - £50 to £70/page according to the amount of work we have to put in our end... but wherever possible, I try and pay top dollar by giving contributors a much more detailed account of what we need. And hopefully, the magazine will help you build up a wider name for yourself which will give even more credibility to your movies and help you move more!

 

While I think your stuff covers the entire gambit - and I'd want your articles to do the same (advice, field, technical etc) - I'm particularly impressed with your hunting footage, especially your love (and obvious skill) with spring guns. This is what I'd like to major on; many readers have told me they're dissatisfied with the emphasis that the other magazines (two of which I used to be Publisher) put on PCPs. For the record, I'm quite a fan of springers, too - so we'll get on well!

 

Anyway, I'm stacked out at the moment, but will ring you as soon as I've got a moment in order to discuss things - though it would be great if you could start thinking about what to supply the mag in the meantime. I'm not quite sure how it will work with you currently in Germany, but I'm sure it's not insurmountable.

I did a page for a magazine called target shooter online

 

They published it then they asked me if I would like to do articles and reviews on pistols, as soon as I said I would love to what was the pay like? They ended correspondance
