sniper 30
I Like saluki bred types. However i have seen and owned a variety of types, and as said before, alot does count the dog itself, but i think the bredding of a dog goes along way. i bought a well bred, line bred bitch pup a few years back, and the bitch was nice and racey, great for an edible animal. didnt like bigger quarry. i currently have a saluki/grey x bull/grey and really like the type she has thrown, so hopefully she'll be a great allrounder, with time and patience. Bosun11 537
I'd agree with Dell and Alf, in that these days it's lurcher to lurcher bred for me. Ran most crosses over the years and once opon a time I was always interested in what breeds made up the dog, 'it's a saluki, collie, deerhound, cross whatever....etc', these days it's not really a factor, i'd rather go on 'parental ability' and even better if I can go back further than that. If they, (ancestry) suit my requirements in a dog then that would be the pup i'd always go for. Quote Link to post
