gnasher16 30,279 Posted May 26, 2010 Report Share Posted May 26, 2010 I think we expect too much and fall into the trap of thinking because premier league players earn such high wages that means they should win the world cup !....id be happy if we reach the quarter finals and be very happy if we reached the semis.... Ive always felt the mistake we make at international level is trying to out-football superior footballing sides.....the english game is based on speed tenacity fitness and passion...yet when we get amongst the foreign flair teams we try to play football against them instead of doing what we are good at. If we keep the pace of games high instead of slowing down to their pace i think we have a good chance of getting to the semis...the climate will suit our boys and we have a good balance.
