GOBSHITE 107
FFS Stig, i usually put some faith in what you say but how the f@ck can you come out with bollocks like that and keep a straight face. Show me a fox terrier or a welsh worthy of bringing into a line of WORKING terriers and i'll give you my flying pig. No more defending the uphill gardner, he bred shit into his line to line his pockets, it's as simple as that. Quote Link to post
The lonesome boatman 20
Stig the thing is those old dogs were not Middleton lines, they were bred from the old Fell working strains of Barker, Wilkinson ect. The stuff he breeds now are his line in my opinion just like Nuttals came from the old Breay Buck lines. They fect it up in search of the pound note. fact., Stig. 1 Quote Link to post
the_stig 6,614
theres no doubt the man went for the coin i`m not defending him --- i said i`d ask the question i did and thats what i was told and posted on here i never saw or knew he`d used fox terrier .. the welsh terrier i`ve been told by several people came from working stock and in looks and size looked nothing like kc stuff he`d lost the density and colour of coat and the welsh was bought in to try and improve it did they come from working stock who knows -- i can only post what i`ve been told like i`ve said before i try and stay away from terrier threads these days someone always wants to get on your case .... Bosun11 537
White Lakies have always been about... If the general knowlage about this line is to be belived and plenty have seen the pics and heard the tales, from Barker through Wilkinson to Middleton, then they were bred out of white dogs... No need to add any, the line already threw 'em and, if old tales are worth listenin to, then many a white dog was bred and 'given' as rabbitin dogs before the war, from other lines too, as they were deemed sub-standard because of colour. Not sayin Gary didn't add Fox terrier, maybe he did, I don't know but if his line of 'showey' Lakies already threw white pups with big boxy heads (as Gary likes) then why add skinny headed fox terriers?? Nowt new in white dogs except the boom in the 's..!! Quote Link to post
