This is most commonly from a bacterial infection very common in carnivore young. a build up of discharge builds under the eye lid causing it to split.

You need to wipe his eyes very well and inspect the other side for puffiness. If there is any you should get the kit to a vet who can drain it

usually the kits eyes will reseal and open again at the normal time but sometimes it doesn't

I had this happen last year with an 11 day old kit.

after some research online i found a complicated vet term for it but i'm not able to find the resource at the moment. i'm still looking though

what i did was stroke the eyelid with a warm wet paper towel and the other eyelid popped a slight hole as well...with lightly stroking it oozed pussy grossness for a while.. i did this a couple times a day for 3 days ... he had both eyes open fine within 4 days and they never resealed.

He's now a big ole pain in the butt stinky poley hob lol with no sight problems at all ...

ah yeap.. i'm in Heathfield... i've got a few people who are disapointed from my own waiting list as i only have a pair to rehome this year...

let me know how many you have to rehome around week 6 or so ... and i'll see if they're still interested! Mind you the ones left on my list are pet homes...
