Was it a young jill to have such a big litter ??

am no expert on ferrets..but the jill is 2 yr old..and its her 1st litter....does age matter???

there from workin parents and will be ready to go in 5 or so week...

ive always found that younger jills produce bigger litters ,i try no to breed mine till they have proven themselves two to three years and never have large litters

i put a rabbit in for the mother to chomp on last night...had a look this morn and the whole lot of them are lickin on it...there eyes aint even open yet!!!!

always thought it was the other way, got told younger jills on there first litter had less. And bigger litters when bred from again. Will find out soon, my jill due to have some this week, shes only 2, she does feel bigger than the last time a bred with an older jill who had 6 (was her first aswell).
