matmorgan 49
mate of mine has a beddy russel x.picks up and works cover at th local shoot.kills fox above and below with extreme venom and i once saw him catch a rabbit on the lamp.great dog.you will get em in all breeds but imo safest most bidable bet is the springer.but if you love that yobbo terrier attitude like i do go that way.or terrier springer x.good luck making your mind up im even questioning meself now lol. wirral countryman 2,110
the comment I made was a" terrier or small dog,"the lad said he was getting a beddy whippet for bushing?a springer, cocker, border, etc all fall within this remit, its each to their own but I personally like to use terriers as thats what I own,the people I hunt with all keep terriers and we have a very high success rate of catch,we all keep the dogs of our choice but that doesn't mean yours is better than mine or vice, versa,if your happy with it then carry on,its whatever your personal experience and choice is,there is only so many dogs a person can keep fully worked and kennelled,I keep good allround dogs that work for me of the breed that I like, its down to personnal choice at the end of the day so long as they push cover hard we all get the same result,I haven't heard one of you experts so quick to criticise tell the lad that asked the question a beddy whippet is not the dog for the job, yis, wirralman Quote Link to post
