Problem with pump :s

Recommended Posts

I have a Webley Ultra Glide pump, which seems to have broken :wallbash:

When trying to pump it, after a few pumps, it becomes quite tight and does not take in any air, more or less creating a vacuum in the pump, meaning no air can be pumped into the gun.

I am the least technically minded person ever and defo wouldnt be able to have a go at fixing this myself. Just wonder if anyone can shed any light on it and let me know if its fixable. If i can get it fixed i think i will just sell it and buy a bottle :whistling:

Hey John,

I'm not totally conviced its the seals

When the seals went in my pump, it allowed the air back out of the pump so I couldn't get above 50 bar.

A vacume suggests that maybe the inlet valve is stuck closed. Which should be a fairly easy job.

PM Foxon on here, (he services pumps) he proved to be a fantastic source of information, as indeed did Sean (the mod one that is)

I took their advice and saved my self a fair bit of money :victory: All the seals for my pump cost me 79 pence from Wilkinsons :gunsmilie:

Putting them in was not as complicated as I thought it was going to be either.

His name on ebay is shootingworld. Not sure what other stuff hes got for sale but i will need to have a look tonight.

Turns out it came with a warranty. It was sold as used because he sold them to a customer who went bust and sent them back, but they were on display so he had to sell them as used, so i managed to get it quite cheap. Happy now, just a bit of a pain that i will need to wait before i get it back, but hey thats life.
