Shooting on an incline

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies and Gentlemen :gunsmilie:

After watching Si's (Zini) very informative vid on youtube regarding shooting at an angle :notworthy: I was looking for something that had some sort of visualisation of what Si was teaching us.

Not that I'm too thick to understand what Si was teaching :whistling: I am just one of those who takes things in a little better if I can see something to go along with what is said

So after a little bit of research, I came across this (saw the original site long time ago and this has been added recently) http://www.arld1.com/targetplottrajectory3.html'>http://www.arld1.com/targetplottrajectory3.html

Use the slider at the right hand side to tilt the gun to what ever angle you desire, The crosshair is what your looking at, the black dot with the red cross in the green circle is where your pellet impact will be.

This demo also allows you to see how if your hold is skew whiff (Cant of the gun) affects the POI compared to the POA as well.

A brilliant little demo, that complements Si's teaching very well IMHO :gunsmilie:

The main page for other tips is http://www.arld1.com

There is also demo's to zero a scope, parralax error etc....

Nice post that Tony buddy

I’ve just added that to my favourites list as i think that site is very useful.

It also backs up my video very well.

I keep getting PM's from people on YouTube telling me all sorts of crap mate.

Apparently when shooting up a steep incline or down a steep decline you are supposed to aim "HIGH":no::doh: , so some armchair idiots tell me :feck:

Also apparently gravity doesn’t affect everything on the planets surface because birds and planes can fly and don’t fall down.

They have a special way of being left out the equation and God wanted it that way so birds can migrate and people can visit their families in other countries LOL  .

I tried telling them that if the wings fell off the plane it would soon feel gravity, and that if the birds feathers all of a sudden all fell out in flight that bird would also meet gravity nose first

There are some right idiots about especially on that YouTube site.

Chairgun Pro also has a little function regarding incline shooting, but its not that clear to me, the little video that I found brought everything you said to life in my brain
