Gettin my 8 month old pup to jump

Any ideas lads on how I can start teachin him the basics of jumpin

cause he just sits there there stuburn little shi. Lol

 

he is a saluki lurcher aswel

I start them of early buy putting a few slats across the gate of my pen so if what out they have to jump the slats then once the dog is doing it just keep putting it a bit more higher & higher

As has been said already put some planks of wood in a gateway that you go through everyday so that when you

go your walk the dog has to jump them to follow you. Start off low and gradually increase the height as the dog gets more confidence.

 

And i wouldn't leave spaces..............leg break waiting to happen. I use a low field gate with rabbit netting on it so the pups cant get there legs through. First few times they were on there arse but they soon get used to it. 8 months now and comfortably jumping 3 foot fence.(labs this is)
