First Ever Roe Buck.

I got a text on monday off Wayne (a lad from another site)asking if I wanted to go for a roe buck on tuesday evening & without hesitation I said "yes please".We met up on the tue & set off for some roe ground Wayne had.

We pulled up at the gate of one of the fields & stalked around the edge of it to see 4 does out but no bucks,so we got in the truck & drove to another place to see does again & a small buck which was'nt shootable.We then went to the field where we were going to be sitting up in & got out the truck to see a nice 6 pointer in the next field,we stalked along a hedgerow & saw a buck lying down it was another very nice 6 pointer,we crawled into position & set up the sticks,the adrenalin was now going like the clappers,we waited for a bit for him to stand up & eventually he did,I squeezed the trigger & he ran about 40 yards staggered & fell to the ground.After waiting we got up to walk down to him & I was over the moon.

Thanks very much again Wayne for my first ever roe buck,another memory i'll never forget,& not to forget Max the dog for being patient.

Hi Wireviz,I was so pleased with it I asked Wayne to get in touch with his mate Paul Taylor from Dorset for him to do a head & neck mount for me,so will post the pics in a few months time.

Hi John yes Max is a cracking dog just like breeze im sure,ive seen Pauls work at Waynes house & his work looks excellent.
