Ferrets do suffer from some diseases but on the whole ferrets are healthy, happy-go-lucky animals. Hobs (males) will live for around 8-10 years, Jill's (females) 6-8 years and as with humans the older the ferret becomes the more health issues will be present but that's much the same with all animals.
