my pup just turned 8 months and wont see the lamp till she doing her job during the day think if yea take them out early on the lamp alot they seem till stop at ditches during the day think the rabbit as gone down hole or into thick cover so once there flying though ditches during the day then they get brought out at night

a work both day and night. when a go out during the day i do bushing but take the ferret with me everytime a go out, when the dog marks a hole a will do it. sometimes a go places just to ferret tho. a do a bit of lamping aswell. i enjoy lamping and during the day but a prefer during the day. love watching my dogs work and bolting rabbits

I like both but prefer lamping purely because im safer from nosy eyes! Only go out with the ferrets now and again as i hate waiting about lol, but the dosg hunt up in the day and things bolt out the bushes when you least expect it!! Definately a lamper by far though!

i do both. prefer mooching during the day watching the dogs work but like to test the dog on lamp.

i do both also and think the bigger test for the dog is during the day.

it has to use its nose, mark burrow,s and work when the ferrets in ground to get itself in the right position for a bolt and for rabbits then a clean bolted rabbit is a harder test than a lamped one imho
