more fun and a lot more productive with a shotgun, weather its deeks out, throwing lead at suicidal pigeons or the dog flushing the odd rabbit, cant beat it,if i want a stealthy approach with a few bits and bobs for the pot, rabbit pigeon etc, cant beat using an air-rifle,got to use a bit of field craft and every shot counts, very rewarding

i like going out doing abit of shotgun shooting and ferreting.

but my main interest is foxing with 22/250. saying that 22lr with subs popping bunnys off from the 4x4 in summer is superb sport and none stop

Not done a great deal of either, but I'd say the shottie when it comes to fun! Pure laddish fascination though, big bangy noises & clouds of smoke! :D

Never shot an un-modded .243 then Mal????......................Now if its bangs your after!!angel.gif

Shotgun, by a country mile. Pity is I don't use it too often.

Not doing any lamping with the shottie then John :tongue2: don't tell me your cheating these days like a certain member :whistling:

:clapper: No, I can shoot straight first go (usually) so don't need to cheat like the other fella :clapper:

I'll be after ducks this year though so it'll give me more reason to dust off the ould scattergun, not that I can hit anything with it :clapper:

I can't argue with FTB that shooting bolting bunnies with a shotty is great but apart from that as I don't really go in for driven game, the 12b only really comes out for shooting over ferrets and the odd days rough shooting.

Whereas the LR is getting almost daily use this week, bunny numbers in the freezer are at an all time high so just bought a mincer on eBay. This weekend I will be making bunny burgers!

Out of every part of shooting I have had experience of, lamping is still my fave.
