FOXING LURCHERS

JUST READ A LURCHER BOOK AND IT SAID ONE OF THE BEST CROSSES FOR FOXES ARE BEDDIE GREYHOUNDS. JUST WONDERING WHAT EVERYONE ELSES OPINION IS AND WHAT CROSSES YOU THINK ARE BEST FOR THIS JOB ?

its each to there own i run two beddy crosses,one beddy-whipp x grey,the other beddy x grey,the pic is pre ban obviously,we now just run rabbits

im not saying they are the best cross but i use a3/4grey x 1/4 collie,

if it was just for for foxs i would go for first cross bull grey hound before the ---of course

If its running alot of fox single handed then its got to be a bullgrey or wheaton grey. Beddy greyhounds arnt going to take as much stick as a bull grey or wheaton grey. They obviously do the job but i cant see them doing it as good as a bull x

i think a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull is best. but thats only my opinion.

i had a 1/4 beddy 3/4 wippet he is the best dog i hav had for fox

I had a pure greyhound once, that would dispatch foxes with ease.

The best I have ever seen was a 27" 3/4 grey / 1/4 collie dog.

I had a good first cross bed/greyhound,I now run BullX.Lots of different crosses of lurcher take Fox with ease.Ive seen good collie x good Deerhound x Just about every type of lurcher will take fox.Some take to it more easily than others.
