chimp 299
me and masmiffy went out for a couple of hours on the peas today , started slow and mas decided to move a little way up the field and i stayed in hide. well all was dead for me with the odd bird coming in while mas had seemed to have found the spot and was getting a few shots, i gave up after an hour and couldnt let him have all the sport so i walked up to join him. he had made a hide out of what he could find and even cleared a spot for me to stand mas being mas had made it in such a way that you couldnt shoot towards houses which were about 150 yards away so all was good on that front , that was until i started shooting lol a bird come in and i shot it with the first and managed to down a second with the second barrel (i was on fire as always , hey mas lol) anyway time i scanned where the first had fallen it had managed to get back up and floated about 10 ft of the ground towards the back of the houses and decided it would die mid air and fall in a back garden i then spoted a fella pick it up and lob it back in the field, mas being the gent he is decided to go and pick it up. i bet he wish he hadnt now............ he come back and the fella wasnt best too pleased as the bird and flown into his patio window and sprayed blooded everywhere. lol anyway we finished up and as we was leaving the field the police where waiting but not to pull us but to follow us to see where we was going. i dropped mas off at his house and we was greeted by 3 armed reponse cars lol , the silly thing is they knew exactly what we had been doing and really didnt want to be there , so after the standard checks etc off they went . im glad i dont live near mas ...... he just made his posh neighbourhood something out of the 'boyz in the hood' sorry mas and thanks for the day here is a pic of the bag , sorry didnt have time to get a pic of the boys in blue. a couple of crows 40 pigeons some ferals and a bunny Quote Link to post

masmiffy 82
An 'interesting' afternoon all round I recon. As Chimp said we were at least 150yds away from the houses and couldnt nor wouldnt have shot towards em anyway. I did speak to the guy whose house the pigeon hit even said thanks for returning the bird Was polite enough, I thought, but I guess as it was a nice day and they were in the garden they didnt like the noise! Good omen here I recon? if you dont like the countryside or countryside ways stay in the feckin city! Mental note to self 'must go back next weekend and shoot some more' Quote Link to post

masmiffy 82
Just think cleaning a bloody mess off patio windows might not be that guys hobby I think a bottle of wine and or box of chocies might help One real stumbling point here the the bird was only 'pricked' When I picked it up after he had thrown it back in the field there was no sign of any blood on the bird at all. I recon he was just pissed off that we were shooting on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Quote Link to post
