lavrockhall 2
I never docked my last litter, and they dont look to bad, they are naturally short tailed. They are about two thirds the size of the Patterdale standing on the barrow in the above picture. lavrock Quote Link to post

fellpack 7
tails are dock to protect from rot unless your willing to go to the vet for a tail inspection regular it pays to have them docked any vet will tell you the same problem is suits with little experiance make the rules and without educating them at vets level it wont change. i had them call asking how my dogs had thier tails docked I told them i got them that way but also had no papers on the breedeers due to buying them from a travelers camp (which is true Quote Link to post
The Wonderer 0
I always thought my pat had his tail but looking at some of the pics im not sure now,Looks like he might have had it docked a little bit.He never had his dew claw removed but his chewed it all the way down himself lol.Our jack russells dew claw is hanging off as ive just noticed but im not sure if we can cut it because they have veins(if [NO TEXT TALK] could tell me where to cut it id appreciate it(its black so cant see through))Her tail was docked though. I think the reason they are docked is because they get caught and get torn.In the tail they can get infected and with the dew claw it just causes alot of pain and bleeding and possible infection.
