action after the snip! !

Recommended Posts

i have four jills that need taking out of season.A freind has offered me an entire hob which he says i could have snipped then use.

how long would he need before hed be fit to cover jills?

he reckons the jill jab messes jills up if you want to breed from them in futer years has any one herd this before?

getting a hob snipped now, will be a bit late for your jills, get the jab done, this year it aint going to stop future breeding, of course he's telling you that, sounds like he wants you paying for his hobs snip

having him done now wont be any use to you this year .. he needs a few months before he will be firing blanks & then its not a guaranteed success even if you leave plenty of time before using him.... you may well find yourself with 4 litters

ok, so you could keep the hob, as stated, it still wont work this year, you may not want a hob, but keeping ferrets may mean you need to, weigh up the costs, jill jabs each year against cost of snipped hob

every snipped hob is a gamble, as already stated, the op may not work, or bits grow back, maybe Im just lucky, but I have four castrated hobbs (no nutts) in a court with three jills, all the jills have been in season earlier in year, and all have been taken out of season by the hobletts, have actually seen them shagging, even though they shouldent have "the urge"

Everybody to there own but i prefer a snipped hob over the jill jab any time the guys just asking for advice and wouldn't it be a wonderfull world if we could all get orginised get a young hob kitt in let its balls drop get it snipped for the next year and let it empty its tanks so unless the vet fecked up the op the guys jills are not going to have kitts ,Buy hindsights a wonderfull thing

I thought that too, but after asking, bit/tubes can grow back/re join, so a snipped hob, can start firing live rounds again a year later

jill of myne had phantom then straight back in season afterwards would more than one phantom not harm the jill????

Most of my jills came in three and four times each last year thats why i go for the snipped hob option
