neil cooney 10,416
Where to position them is of utmost importance. Most hunts have stopped making shores because it made it to easy for the cub killers. Quote Link to post
shaunpauls7 131
what would be the most affective way to build them ? any pics would be great atb shaun Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
Im going to put at least 1 in this summer, traditional style, stone built! Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
If your'e going to put them in boys you'd better do it sooner rather than later. The longer into summer you wait the more midges and undergrowth there is. And, the earlier you put the pipe in the more chance the vegetation has of growng over it to keep it from prying eyes. For me its gotta be made of pipe or stone. I have never had much luck with the plastics.... JD Quote Link to post
mouse 282
we always use stone pipes.around here we find that plastic pipes never hold for some reason. Quote Link to post
FightTheBan 1,147
I have a litter of cubs in an old stone built hunt artificial at the minute. The artificial had dissapeared as through time it had filled in and had been dug that many times it's caved in in places. This year, however the foxes re opened it and it is a topper. Runs for nearly 50 metres on a hill top with two chambers. Built completely from local stone slabs, buried deep enough the cattle dont trample it in. Built over 100 years ago, it's some piece of work and it makes my artificials look like a right half arsed job. Friendly with a guy who has had 5 out it in one day, hopefully they continue using it through winter FTB Quote Link to post
