Bosun11 537
what are your plans this summer are any of you goin to try and improve your dogs hunting skills and get them fit ? I always like to let my dogs do a fair bit of daytime mooching during the summer, not really hunting, just letting 'em relax and enjoy the field, long walks on long evenings. Their skills as 'daytime dogs' really do improve and I feel we both get sommat out of it. Other than that I simply like seeing 'em lying full stretch in the garden enjoying the sun. Though maybe this year I'll find a show with a 'Pirate' class, so I can enter my one eyed dog, seems there's classes for every other fecking thing at most shows these days and that'd be the only class he might stand a chance in!!! villebones 4
I've just got one of the 'ordanance survey' maps of my area and stuck it to my bedroom wall. I dashed out all the different walks around my area and plan to walk my dog in a variety of different places. I have made sure they are all near water or there are different water breaks along the way so the dogs can have a drink and swim to cool down. Hopefully this will mean I'm able to find out where all the rabbits are and hopefully pick up some more permission instead of sticking to the bits I have Edited May 14, 2010 by villebones Quote Link to post

Due to work commitments meets have been few and far between but lokking to run at least every fortnight but running this week and next and you can run your dog how you like.My only advice is just a couple of times as it not fully developed but its your dog so if you wanna run it you can.If we have other pups you could run it with them or on own.PM me if need any details as i dont wanna take over the lads thread.atb MH Quote Link to post
