langouroux 14
About 18 months ago my mate Jules was a Vegetarian - this is no wind up! He had been for 27 years...since birth! Anyway he always said that if he ate meat then he would kill it, cook it, eat it himself...we weren’t so sure! After making such a life changing decision to eat meat, I posed the question about coming and doing a bit of shooting with me, he has been coming along nicely shooting rabbits etc, but due to work commitments and family issue's he hasn’t been out lately and those Charlie's have always avoided him, we would see them but they wouldn’t come in to the call blah blah...you know how it is! That is until last night! second field a few squeaks on the fox call uk and Charlie comes running flat out...poor old Jules didn't have time to think but he didn’t need to, just point and squeeze the 6.5 x 55 will do the rest. We also had about 20 odd rabbits 14 of which were keepers. Quote Link to post

liongeorge 7
I have three friends who are vegetarian but will eat venison that I give them. They love it (one of them also eats rabbit and hare from me). They like the fact it is wild, not farmed and honestly taken and processed unlike the crap in the shops. Fair play to them really. One of them (a girl) has asked to go rabbitting or stalking with me. I think I'll start her of with ferreting so watch this space next season you might see a vegetarian ferreting here. Perhaps this ought to be "what can you get a Veggie to do" thread. Although shooting are charlie is quite a winner, though maybe if I get one of mine shooting bambi it will trump it.
