Does anyone else find it more harmonious to keep a dog and a bitch together? I have one of each and they seem to do ok. The bitch is the boss and the dog seems very accepting of this.

i keep a dog and bitch,ive heard plenty sad stories about same sex after a variety of time just something sparks the old dominance,my bitch at half the weight of my dog is the boss,its very clear,i leave the cat with them to,i hate the f*****g thing!,but the cats queen over both,mind the did get a few swipes as pups!!!!!!!

A wheaten's fuseboard can blow at any second. Not having a dig at you fella but i personally would never kennell a wheaten x with any other dog. Anyhow thats a fine looking dog, what height is he tts.

 

my mate kennells his wheaton x with a saluki x them to bitches have only known each other for a month and they are good as gold it to do with how you bring them up ! :L

 

That could be a bit of a naive statement. The dogs have only been in together for one month..........

Dogs what are aggresive towards other dogs are a nuisance in the hunting game regardless if its in the kennel or in the back of the motor or out in the field. Two dogs should be able to be kenneled together without problem as long as they have seperate sleeping area ie twin kennel inside a single run. Agressive dogs(fighters) dont deserve a kennel to themselfs they deserve a hole to themselfs.
