Andrew Peter De Vries, 28, of Aberdeen, Scotland, and a companion were pounding on the back door of a home in the upscale Memorial area in west Houston when the homeowner fired three shots from a .25-caliber pistol. Two bullets hit De Vries. His companion, Sydney Graves, 42, also of Aberdeen, was not injured. The two had been going from house to house, knocking on doors, trying to get someone to let them use a phone to call a cab to take them back to the hotel took me less than 7seconds to find.i stand corrected he wasnt a student One woman who lives on Warrenton said the shooting was "a sign of the society we live in. People are so afraid of crime that they feel they have to arm themselves to protect themselves," Judy Jowers said. "I've always told my children that if there is trouble to get out of the house quickly and go to a neighbor's home and scream for help and bang on the door. I can't tell them to do that anymore. They might get shot," she said. The incident is similar to one in Baton Rouge, La., in October 1992 in which a Japanese student was killed by a homeowner who told police he had thought the student was trying to invade his home. The homeowner, later acquitted on a charge of manslaughter, had told the student to freeze, but the student didn't understand English well and continued to advance. Aaron Proffitt 142
In the US , you are still far more likely to be killed by medical mal-practice than by a firearm . Statistically, it's highly unlikely. Especially given the fact their are over 200 million firearms ( that we know of ) in the US.

SHOTGUNSNIPER 47
so basically sgs you support pro gun laws because you're scared of brown people. Educated by experience to keep my distance from them! Some would call that prejudged - I have a life time of experience that helped me make an educated decision. Are you a person of color? Oh yea I forgot to mention that I was shot by a latino in a socialistic country that banned hand gun ownership.... That hombre died at the scene - 3 story falls tend to do that.... I speak fluent spanish and have operated extensively in many South American countries. I was depolrted from Mexico and cannot return..... I know plenty of hispanics-growing up in the southwest it's hard not to... I still don't trust em! The only continent left with lots of brown folks in it is Africa and the only reason I would go there is to hunt...I am to old to do what I did in South America..... I ain't sceered biach ---- I have the scars to prove it. Kiss my stone figure.....SGS

Your a bloody unhinged nutter mate. its very scary that theres people like you out there, thank god (if he actually did existed) that they dont let nutter like you over here have guns. Have a nice day!
