SEAN3513 7
evening all i have the pleasure from time to time to test new products and guns ( well someone has to do it ) i went out last night with a BSA R10....fitted with one of these here well it was amazing...fit it to your standard scope....you can clearly see out to 200m . the only downside is, when you widen the light......it reduces to distance you can see....no problem for airgunners have a look ....see what you think............around £325.00 over here cheers sean Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Sean. What a nice bit of kit that is, very neat indeed. Its a shame the video isnt more detailed, with more lengthly footage of it working in the field. With that asking price, better footage may encourage more sales, and give people a better idea of its true performance. Just my thought's mate. Very Nice. ATB. Bill. P.S. What pellets were they using on that first shot......want some Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7
thats what i was trying to get at you can see the beam so its not a nv peice of kit then as nv is ir un seen to the naked light i should know as i fir ir cameras and equipment for a living as it clearly says "an alternative that works"....it was never claimed to be "NV" (well, not by me anyway....lol) it accounted for 18 rabbits and 2 foxes........all at 70 yds plus and NO not with an air rifle.......so it can work cheers sean Quote Link to post

Buster321c 1,010
Hiya Pal , decent bit of kit them R10`s , would`nt mind a mess with one . So this ive read alot about recently , would you say that its a lamp that the quarry cant see? Or some type of illuminator that enables the scope to be used with NV properties ? What ever the description , its certaily causing ripples in the NV world . Well where to start OK Laser Genetics utilizes exclusive patented optical laser technology to develop the lighting instruments of the future for civilian and professional use. Founded in 2006, Laser Genetics is one of the nation’s fastest growing manufacturers of personal-use laser lighting products. With its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Laser Genetics is dedicated to developing high efficiency laser illumination products specific for outdoors, hunting, marine, emergency, and home defense use. With low energy use and high illumination yield, the ND Series of Laser Designators enables you to focus full illumination where you need it, with the least loss of light due to “floodingâ€. The ND Series puts you in full control of directed laser light for maximum illumination of the intended object. The high power laser beam may be collimated down and concentrated to cast an intense, highly visible beam of light that can be seen miles away, usefull for signaling or search and rescue operations. Or adjust the beam to 10ft to light a path for full night vision. Through extensive research, Laser Genetics has developed a product that is more than just a laser pointer. The ND3 and ND5 hand held laser products utilize new laser technology that delivers the ultimate night vision solution. ND•3 - Long Distance Laser Designator - The Ultimate Alternative to Night Vision The ND3 Laser Designator uses patented technology to create true night vision and turns your scoped rifle into a night hunter. Combining a powerful, eye safe green laser diode and a precision optical collimator, the ND3 pairs with your scope and allows you to cast a bright beam of green laser light to fully illuminate targets up to 250 yards. The patented optical collimator allows for quick, one hand, full range adjustment of beam diameter and light strength with just 180 degrees of rotation. You never have to take your eyes off the target or your hand off the trigger. High power green laser light reflects intensely off the eyes of animals allowing quick detection up to 250 yards. The ND3 works well for both night hunting and game spotting. I would certaily consider trading my NV for something that works like this . So mate , would you chose this over a dedicated NV unit , or better still if you were able to choose a freebie , lamp , NV or this which one would it be ? Night vision = £500 plus illuminator £600 and thats starting from unless you want a piece of rubbish Add ons I have used are very awkward to use/Set up and make you hang off you gun in an un-natural way Dedicated unit means you have to have a dedicated gun so £600 for the bottom range unit plus a complete extra gun, Pod etc let say thats £700 also so £1300 in total for a set up that wont be all that good. As far as I know Dedicated night vision as I am sure your aware only gives you 5 or 6 mag at most. So rubbish Add or Dedicated setup is going to cost you Anything from £600-£1300 and this is assuming your buying from the budget end of the Night vision market. I believe this unit costs about £300 I think. So is that a lot of money ? I dont think so for a state of the art military spec Laser Illuminator I would be happy to pay that price. Lets face it It will attach to any gun allow you to use the gun day or night you will have no hanging off the back of the gun like you do with add ons and you wont be limited to 4 or 5 mag as it will work with any scope and it comes with 30mm or 1inch fitting in the kit so you really can use it on any scope. SEAN3513 7
i was very impressed mate ....for the money it would shine out to 200 yds plus....and the laser was really clear and you where able to put it right on the kill zone. they are ( as far as i can see) a glorified green torch and laser ( but a very powerfull torch) not being a bofin i dont really know.....gonna have to do a bit of research......thanks for info posted mate. yes r10 is very nice.......might just have to get one cheers sean Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hey Sean, How come I cant give you a SLUT point? I'm completely with you and Buster on this Phantom Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
To be fair , ive gone from a red `lamp ` to a green torch this year and im finding it ok . Initally i went for it because it was easy to use in conjunction with a NV unit ( green and green , one for spotting one for shooting ). I have found the green shines further and gives a clearer light than a `dull red` and can pick out the eyes at some distance , but only as a spotter , if i were to use it as a lamp it would be too much and i think ide end up with `lamp shy ` rabbits . As far as the R10 , i quite fancy one , but ive just got me a nice BTAS regged S410 , Buster . Quote Link to post
