whin 463
type slower ,all i was saying was , most dont test there dogs breed alitter have pups more lurchers non tested , more pet dogs less workers so in the end we have pet lurchers and working lurchers were years ago they all fed the family, or were not given house room , youget racinglurcher show lurxhers non working lurchers ,then you get working lurchers of sorts ,then serous dog men etc breding of dogs that dont work is dodgy not the way forward etc, i need to see this anglsey i gave aguy 100 yrds of bass net down there to fish with a few years back he done well with a bit instructions Quote Link to post

Daveo 61
considering a lot of lurchers are bred from ex track greyhounds .. who have only ever seen a mechanical hare .. it appears to be acceptable to breed from non workers But track dogs are trained to chase, i know its not hunting but do coursing dogs hunt in the traditional sense? Lots of people breed top lurchers from ex track dogs but how many breed from pet or show greyhounds that sit in front of a fire or woddle around in a f*****g silly tartan coat? Quote Link to post
whin 463
to true stewie ,i can see a pup by the time there a year past whats the stamp of him ,is he going to be decent or very good with the attitude to game ,its a hard game breeding good allround dogs for [bANNED TEXT] self etc ,getting harder to get good out crosses etc that suit you Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
Fencehopper hows the greyhound bred? have you had it from a pup? she's bred from mineola farloe son of top honcho, her dam is also a mineola bred bitch Quote Link to post

A collie cross don't say to its self "im not running that rabbit im really more of a racer than a hunter" the owner decides what use the dog is put to. Quote Link to post

Lots of people breed top lurchers from ex track dogs but how many breed from pet or show greyhounds that sit in front of a fire or woddle around in a f*****g silly tartan coat? the thread says ..breeding from working dogs .... are track greyhounds classed as working dogs? you say ..do coursing dogs hunt in the traditional sence .....well depends how they are bred ,and if the owner gives them the oppertunaty the instinct to kill is there !! and the instinct to chase is there ,as it is in all sighthounds .some have stronger instinct than others ! whin 463
daveo if you breed of game dogs who have had several generaitions of workers they take little coaxing more holding back were if you breed of shit they havent got the minerals to go the distance ,thats what breeding is about and good dog manship , Quote Link to post
