Got a quick glimpse of this program on BBC 1 this morning and there was a feature on Poaching (lamping etc). It showed the (West Yorkshire-i think :hmm: ) Police pulling over cars that they suspected were lamping and poaching deer etc etc.

They were looking for 4x4 type cars especially ones that looked like they had been off road (muddy  ), and were then pulling these cars over. The bloke they pulled over had dogs, lamp and something that baffled the police officers .......... a slip lead :clapper::laugh: One officer said it could have been a weapon..........probably make a better weapon than a slip lead :11:

They then called for the expert advice of a woman police officer that specialised in poaching, illegal coursing etc and because they couldn't prove anything he was released without charge, a complete waste of tax payers money as there was a police van, and a good few police cars.

So all us people of here when venturing out with the dogs be carefull and don't forget to take you 'written permission' ;) with you :)

All the best Tommy ;);)

The programme was at Appelby horse fair this morning. Getting hot lurchers out of cars, and undercover people buying pups (Jack russels).

I was'nt aware it is illegal to sell pups without a liciense :hmm:

MOLL.
