If we are on about the same guy i think he worked pointers with hawks, i used to give patridges to someone involved with cr smith...........cant remember the guys name now

Myself and another from this this forum,went up to the guys place one night a few years back.

We went up with two lurchers to take the guy out as he had never seen lurchers working and he totaly loved it.

Got a good few photos of runs on hare ,rabbit.

guy had a great night but dont know if it led to him getting dogs or not.

We were invited up buy a couple of lads who did some shooting on his land with him.

Gut seemed a nice bloke. Well down to earth and was right into his shooting.

 

Given the fact that he had kennels and was totaly minted, it would not surprise me to learn that he tried owning lurchers. He was well impressed with them and found it an exciting sport.

ye there was a guy who was a manager with cr smith and his boss the owner they had land round, t in the park area ,caut ahare on it pre ban,they had a few terreir crosses hunted with them good lads and had a days shooting with them, gd lads

Bet it cannae fit widows though....lol...your probably talking about G who owns the kennels,his mate R does running dogs,both have something to do with cr so the guy was probably genuine mate,(I have not put thier full names mate you never know who's on here)

Well its the 'G' guy that i am on about and he defo bought patridges to work hawks over pointers. I was the same on putting full names down on here.

The boy who owns cr smith is into hawks and shooting, ive a bit ground that borders his, he pays for his ground but doesnt do a lot on it, a farmer i spoke to was moaning about him not doing the rabbits enough, when i offered he told me eadie doesnt like anybody else on his ground and with the cash he pays him he would be daft letting me on.
