read a couple and im featured in a couple also, hes a nice bloke, an not like other authors, he got out an did abit, i particually took a liking to his red terrier fell! belter od little dog :thumbs:

fair play to the man for having a go but the only book i have by him is the patterdale terrier and out of all my country sports books its the only one i couldnt read i kept trying but just found it boring,dont know about the others though,just my opinion.

I think there are some really good fieldsports writers about today and compared to times past, we are really spoilt rotten. Pick up the last few editions of EDRD and there's Dooley, Welsh All Black, Dave Harcombe, Suffolk Bill, Colin Didrikson, Mark Brennan, Chris Breen and that Southern Belle has written a couple of entertaining ones. And there's still new writers coming through all of the time...plenty of lads off here have written for that mag, some very recently.

 

Look at the books that have come out in the last half a dozen years....Lloyd, Dooley, Darcy, Harcombe, Didrikson.....some absolute classics that will stand the test of time. More power to your elbows chaps.
