Guest baldie
Heres two custom lbr,s i ,ve just finished for a customer, he already owned the one with the red dot on, a .45acp, i,ve put the rear bar and weight conversion on them both, and the custom stippled exotic hardwood grips, nice arent they? These have to be a minimum length of 60cms, to comply with the pistol ban.The bottom one is a .44magnum. Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
No Millet, the so called "pistol ban" was actually a ban, on short barrelled firearms. Its still legal to own a pistol, providing is overall length is more than 60 cms. That is why they have the long barrels and the rear extensions.Black powder pistol are still standard length, and no different to what they were, anything that can chamber a cartridge, like these, has to conform to the overall length law.The only people this stupid law is punishing, is the law abiding shooter. Our olympic athletes have to practise abroad, and did you know, the athlete who has won more commonwealth medals, than any other athlete in history, is Mick Gault, an english pistol shooter. But we mustnt mention that, us pistol shooters are dirty criminals Quote Link to post

Guest EWOK
What about Contenders and Encores, Baldie? And is the bar on the back just for the length requirement or to help with balance? Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
EWOK, the bar on the back, is to comply with the law, as far as contenders go [thats the pistol isnt it?] i believe they are long enough to comply. Quote Link to post

But, their is a new law coming in soon, that will put restrictions on hand guns and aquiring them aswell. Frank. Quote Link to post
Guest EWOK
I picked up a Dan Wesson revolver this year, 44 Mag. and 8" barrel. Put a Pride Fowler 1.25-4 scope on it and practiced alot before season came in, but haven't got a deer with it yet. I use to shoot all my deer at long ranges with the rifle but this having to get them close is proving to to be a challenge, I'm seeing 10-15 a day but none in range but the seasons not very old yet so maybe I can fool one into coming in close. Pistol shooting is alot of fun. Quote Link to post
