Ringe 1
Hi, I've got a pair of 8 month old patterdale pups after not having a dog (lurcher) for 10 years or so and my vet has told me about lungworm. I've read a bit about it on the web as I'd not heard of it myself and can't seem to find tablets for it other than those the vet sells at £20 for a 3-month supply! - my back garden is overrun with bloody snails and slugs of all descriptions so jst wondered if any advice/experience of this thing from other forum members? Thanks, Ringe

LamperJohn 12
you can give them a 3 day course of panacur10% liquid/ or 4.5g granules per 10kg body weight, or get some milbermax tablets from the vet it covers all worms, ive never used ivermec but a lot do, i think its toxic to dogs with collie blood in them. Hannah4181 260
I USE MILBEMAX,BUT AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT DOES NOT SUIT DOGS WITH COLLIE BLOOD.ALSO THE CORRECT DOSEAGE SHOULD BE GIVEN I've used Milbemax for a couple of years and had no ill effects to my dog with collie blood. Advocate i think its called is a relatively new product which will protect against the full spectrum of worms, plus fleas and ticks.
