They should also mention that pre '05 hunting deer with dogs was an accepted & legal method of deer control.

Not in Scotland was it legal to take deer with dogs pre'05

Didn't know that, I wasn't 100% sure.

My point was that deer have been hunted with dogs for hundreds of years as both sport & population control. All of a sudden according to the bullshit spouted by the press it only takes place with 'devil dogs' and a 'gangs of thugs'.

OK I knew it was illegal in Scotland pre 05  but it must of been legal at one time hence Scottish Deerhounds and many Victorian illustrations of dogs and deer in the highlands

they are clutching at straws, one thing they forget is the deer rare no is it protected no , and are they a pest in some parts yes do they cause lots of damage to cars aand mayb ethe odd human in them yes, and guns are not always viable to plug them , so dogs is a natural thing deerhound etc ,a good dog spins a beast over and a good handler ends it quick in bygone days of lore ,thye have nothing to do if they keep going for soft targets in fact are any the said animals rare and most are pests to some people ,

Nightmare.

We have an inept press winding up a gormless public who then are pacified by an even more inept and gormless police force.

About time the cops accepted that they are there to uphold the law,,not enforce it.

They need to prove a crime before acting, not go on like a bunch of nazis.

This just erodes support for the police even further

Just make sure you have nothing on your phone or pc that can get you in trouble ....I cant believe they are wanting lads to grass but I can guarentee you that some little scum bag given enough pressure will open his mouth ....Just watch your back lads and I can guarentee you that the police will be reading this thread and will know who some of you are on here so
