3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington

i will be picking up a 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington bitch pup next weekend,i will be using her mostly for ferreting but hope to do a bit of lamping with her aswell,i have never had a lurcher before,so was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with this type of dog and if you have any pics....cheers johnthumbs.gif

Got this pup at xmas for ferreting ,3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy ,hes 6 months old now , looking forward to next season with him . jacko.post-3120-12732497006_thumb.jpg

Hes full of energy mate ,just got to take the edge off with frequent walks , hes a cracking little dog though , starting to respond to basic training , his recall is spot on , and his retrieve is getting better . jacko

when u get the dog mate i would start it off hunting untill its at a good age because beddy crosses hav a habbit of opening up when running rabbits and thats wat u dont want hope this helps and keep us posted mate atb Top Lamper

 

 

cheers mate,she is only 6 weeks old at the moment,was thinking maybe at 6 or 7 months take her out ferreting and just let her have a look at whats going on,do you think that would be ok?of course she would have to be 100% with ferrets and stock.cheers.....johnthumbs.gif
