What about the cats that roam at large and take ages to kill rodents, young birds and ground nesting birds. As long as there's dogs and cats this sort of thing will happen. If cat owners love their

maybe pussy upset dog for days, & schit all over dog owner garden. pussy got eaten. maybe not too bad result.

aww poor cat, those nasty dogs and their owner should be shot, i mean what kind of person wouldnt break their dogs to cats

From what i can see in the video, the dogs are NOT "roaming at large"

They look to be in thier own back yard, so its tough luck for the cat! If you play with danger, you must be willing to take the consequences.

"they look to be in their own back yard"how many back yards have side roads in them? You call tell its a public land. I hate cats and 9/10 will side with the dog but i'm also not blind.

If you read it it was in a garden! I have quoted what it says

A horrified family saw their cat savaged to death on their front lawn in an attack captured on CCTV.

ok but it was not on the dogs property that was what i was trying to say.

That cat was so close to getting away, if only it had got over the fence sad.gif

It is horrible and very sad but we have to remember that dogs act on instict, it moved, they attacked, it was clearly an accident, the dogs weren't encouraged to hurt the cat and it could happen to any one of us that allows our dogs off lead exercise.................it did happen to me when i was about 13, walking 2 salukis (on lead) trusty old lurcher plodding along, she dived into a bush and came out with a ginger kitten in her mouth, devestated wasn't the word, i was heartbroken, went home and my dad was gutting a hare, made me feel sick.gif and i was upset for days but it was an accident!!!!

If cat owners love their moggies so much how come most of them put their cats out all day to look after themselves?

Not nice, ferals are one thing but it must be horrible for the cats owners to see it killed. Its a deep rooted instinct between species that has gone on for centuries............. Accidents happen and its unfortunate but common. I can trust some of my dogs 100% with cats as they were raised around them, others I own given half a chance would add a cat to the bag easy as shelling peas.........
