Rabbits, What time of day is best

Recommended Posts

All of the above. For daylight shooting dusk and dawn are best - this is when they are out feeding.

Obviously they mainly feed out at night so with a lamp you will see a lot.

all off the above are right.

i find that the first houer and last houer of light are the best. this is due to them drinking the due off the grass as well as eating it. the other reason is they are less likely to end up in a birds mouth at thse times due to them roosing. henace why they tend to look up alot. bet they wish mr fox would take the nights off two.

i would say night mate i do most of my shooting under the lamp the rabbits tend to come out more due to no fooker around exept me...

It doesnt have much to do with no one being around... As where i go there is never anyone around, it is however as it has already been stated above, due to the due... The temperature etc...

After last night, Id say the best time to shoot them is when I'm not there :wallbash:

Got to my permission yesterday about 17:30, the place was crawling. Checked zero, One shot at a bunnies head and that was the last I saw for the next 4 hours until I came home!

Actually, Gentlemen;

I have given this matter a great deal of thought today; while I've been sat in the garden stripping the fat and membrane from the pelt of a previous kil F :censored: K it's hard work aint it?

Anyway,

I after much deliberation with my self have come to the conclusion; and this should prove to be a definate end to that age old question once and for all.

The Answer to the best time to shoot a rabbit is as soon as your breathing is steady and the crosshairs are on the sweet spot of bunnies noggin.....

Gotta go, my taxi's here

hi

right here is my input

i have seen plenty out in the morning just before sunrise,i have seen plenty out just before sunset.i have not seen so many out during the daylight hours, and this can vary from one permission to the next.but i also have seen them out on sunny days because they like to bask in it,windy days i have no idea, rainy days i have no idea too! although i have been out in these conditions, but cant think why they like being out in them!

lamping

it can vary between summer months and winter months & permissions, but mainly after midnight i have had most of my bags :thumbs:once every thing has quieting down.

hope this is of some help to you

Don't listen to Davy

He aint got a clue  He's never shot a bunny in his life, he gets his mate to shoot it while he holds the video with a SR reticle mock up in front of the camera lens to film it :tongue2::laugh:
