sean925 2
When you say out wey air rifle u mean retrieving shot rabbits? I have shot many a rabbit but never sent running dog to retrieve is this a training technique sorry for the ignorance Quote Link to post
kev2010 8
I personaly would wait for at least 12 months.Plenty of exercise.Spend that time bonding & building up trust with your dog.Work on walking on & off lead, retrieving, sit & stay & blind stay.Easier to do now while still young.I find a well exercised & tired dog is easier to train than one thats full of energy.Thats just my view. Hope this helps. Kev. Quote Link to post

stroller 341
Sean she is still a baby mate let her grow up and develop the muscle and maturity to deal with the rabbits, rabbits arent an easy prey for young dogs to deal with, so give it time plenty of good feeding get her training started train her like a springer get her retrieving and the basic commands should be instilled in her. you will build a good bond and get the muscle on her over the next season. Her first true working season will be 2010/2011 take deep breaths and take your time Goodluck Quote Link to post
