Entering dog to ratting

I have a 6 month old jack russell, she is a fiesty little devil when revved up, she has ragged a few dead rats that have been caught in snap traps and she tries to get at live rats through the bars of cage traps if she comes across them.

Should i let her into areas where i know there are rats yet or should i leave it til she is older?

Thats what i thought but i didn't want to ruin her through my inexperience with terriers. I have trained spaniel and labrador and many stages are hold back or you will spoil them.

She was awesome! i had nothing to worry about she was straight on the rat as soonas she saw it and chomped it! she is not very big but she certainly goes! thanks for the encouragement lads. She is laid in the sun in the front window now looking like butter wouldn't melt!

I have no idea of the background of her as my misses and kids bought her as a suprise for christmas, i have always had a good idea that she was going to be alright as she is a fiery little bugger!
